Sustainability Commitment
Responsible manufacturing and sustainable textile solutions
designed for long term performance and reduced environmental impact.
Our commitment to green manufacturing and sustainable textiles guides how we produce and source materials. Selected products incorporate recycled polyester made from post consumer plastics, which are converted into fibre, spun into yarn and woven into durable, high performance fabrics.
This approach supports reduced waste while maintaining the quality and reliability our clients expect.
We believe performance and responsibility should go hand in hand.
A Practical Approach to Sustainability
Our commitment to green manufacturing and sustainable textiles guides how we produce and source materials. Selected products incorporate recycled polyester made from post consumer plastics, which are converted into fibre, spun into yarn and woven into durable, high performance fabrics.
This approach supports reduced waste while maintaining the quality and reliability our clients expect.
We believe performance and responsibility should go hand in hand.
Green Manufacturing
Green manufacturing is the continuous improvement of our production processes to reduce environmental impact. This includes reducing resource use, minimising waste, lowering emissions and improving efficiency across our operations.
Key Initiatives
Water Management
Textile manufacturing is traditionally water intensive, and with Sub-Saharan Africa becoming increasingly water constrained, responsible water use is essential. We have implemented a water reticulation system that allows us to reuse approximately 30 to 40 percent of our process water, reducing both overall consumption and the volume of effluent produced.
Energy Efficiency
Our manufacturing processes generate significant heat. Instead of releasing this energy into the atmosphere, we use a heat exchange system to recover and reuse it. This system transfers heat from hot air into water used in production, allowing us to heat water up to 60°C, reducing energy consumption and improving efficiency.
Waste Reduction and Repurposing
We actively reduce textile waste by partnering with organisations that recycle and repurpose production offcuts. Polyester waste is recycled back into fibre and used in non woven applications, while other materials are transformed into practical products such as school bags, woven rugs and bedding for community use. We also work with local vendors who repurpose offcuts into handmade products, helping reduce landfill waste while supporting local enterprise.
Responsible Raw Materials
We carefully evaluate all raw materials used in our production processes to ensure they are safer for both people and the environment.
Our ongoing improvements include:
- Removal of chlorinated raw materials from coatings
- Use of environmentally safer surfactants through the elimination of APEOs
- Transition from older fluorocarbon technologies to safer alternatives
- Introduction of fluoro free solutions where possible
These changes allow us to reduce environmental impact without compromising product performance.
We incorporate sustainable materials into selected product ranges, including recycled polyester derived from post consumer plastics such as bottles.
These materials are processed into fibre, spun into yarn and woven into durable textiles that meet the same performance standards as traditional materials.
Always Improving
Sustainability is an ongoing journey. We continue to refine our processes, evaluate materials and explore new technologies to further reduce our environmental impact.
As better solutions become available, we remain committed to adopting practices that support both performance and responsibility.
Performance with Responsibility
We are committed to developing textile solutions that balance durability, performance and environmental responsibility. By
improving how we manufacture and the materials we use, we aim to contribute to a more sustainable future for our industry.
